MSI afterburner displays minimal 1% and 0.1% frame time
msi afterburner displays 30 fps with a 1% drop and 6 fps shows only 0.1% drop. Is this typical? This occurred in rocket league, where it often shows 0 in other titles. The experience feels odd with noticeable latency and choppiness. My normal frame rate is 240 fps. I’m unsure if this fixes anything, but when the PC failed, I adjusted the GPU half—specifically the Manli RX 3070 Ti. At first, it wasn’t obvious until performance dropped. The GPU had visible copper contacts; I moved them so they weren’t showing. I’ve tried various settings: disabling v-sync, a clean Windows install, using lowest NVDA settings, adjusting H.A.G.S, ensuring no overheating, and enabling/resetting resize bar. Except for the low FPS issue, everything else looks fine. The RTX 3070 Ti specs are: i5-12400F, 32GB DDR4, 3600MHz, G.Skill RAM (2x16GB), B660M Plus, Wi-Fi 6, 750W, 1000GB SSD.
I apologize for the delayed update. It turns out MSI afterburner caused the issue. Now it's achieving good low frame rates. Still, games seem a bit choppy. Yes, 1080p resolution. Newest BIOS available. All drivers from Asus and the latest require NVIDIA support. I haven't updated the GPU firmware since it was installed. It's been about a year, right? The GPU BIOS version is 94.04.65.00.07. On the manli website, the last update was December 29, 2022. I don't know the exact date my PC arrived.
I experience performance drops at 0.1% and 1% with MSI Afterburner, plus stuttering in some games. Are you feeling the same? Using CapFrameX to capture 0.1% shows much better stability. Also observed that MSI Afterburner triggers more spikes on the provided link.
