The settings on the db tab adjust volume based on the higher the db value. Is there a suitable db that provides balanced sound without being too loud or too quiet?

The goal is to ensure all your mp3 files have identical gain levels, so playing them through your app won't cause any variation in volume.
I would set every file to 0 gain, allowing the audio player to adjust the volume as needed.

i'm working on some videos. i've been converting dvds to mp4 for playback on my media player connected to the tv. i've adjusted the audio in the mp4 files so it doesn't sound too loud or distorted, just balanced. i'm currently using the mp3gain program to process the mp3 files. what should be the best db for this setup on tv?
