I have a gtx1070 Asus Turbo and recently adjusted the GPU clock by 100ghz above its original setting. The change was safe, temperature stayed under 82 degrees, but while playing games like LOL or Overwatch I noticed distortion lines appearing on the screen that moved up and down. After resetting to normal settings, the issue persists. I’m unsure why this happened before or how to fix it. Can I overclock now? I’m not very experienced with these adjustments. Please help, thank you.

can i disable vsync and triple buffering? that should fix the screen tearing you're seeing. if it's not available in the game, open the nvidia control panel, navigate to 3d graphic settings, scroll for your game, and adjust there. or simply use the global option.

After enabling and disabling VSync it returned to normal, it turned out to be a problem with the Asus GPU tweck 2 that was restricting the frame rate and causing the toggling. I added the MSI afterburner and everything worked fine now, thank you for your assistance.
