You’re looking to switch from a slow HDD to a Kingston 120GB SSD while keeping your setup mostly the same. You already know about the Windows creation tool and a USB drive, plus you have the Windows 10 CD with the key. That’s a solid start. Just make sure you back up any important data before proceeding. Deactivating or deleting Windows from the HDD is possible using the built-in tools in Windows, but be cautious—removing the OS will erase everything on that drive. If you need help with the process, let me know the steps you’d like to follow!

You can prepare a bootable USB, install it on your SSD, and back up all your files to another drive. Then transfer those files onto the new SSD and reinstall Windows using the provided product key. To enable Windows, you can find the key on your laptop or the installation disc.
