My mouse is still losing connection during gameplay. I changed it and fixed the issue, but the bad mouse was impacting all USB ports. Why did this happen with other ports too?

You mentioned that when the faulty mouse disconnected, it led to all devices going offline. It seems likely it caused a short circuit, shutting down ports, or disrupted USB driver functionality.

When the mouse came off the keyboard briefly, the controllers reconnected properly on my PC after I switched to a different mouse.
