Over the past year, I've faced problems with my Logitech G PRO Wireless mouse. In certain games, the mouse would freeze or disconnect briefly. It would retain the last input I made and continue responding even after I released it. For instance, when playing a gun game, if I let go during a freeze, the weapon would keep firing until I pressed the button again. These freezes typically lasted between 0.5 to 2 seconds, though it's difficult to pinpoint the exact duration due to their unpredictability.

What bothers me is that this issue appears only in specific games—never on my desktop or browsers like Chrome. It doesn’t occur in titles such as Call of Duty, Escape from Tarkov, or any single-player games I’ve recently played. Initially, I wasn’t sure what was wrong because the mouse seemed to move freely and only the button inputs were affected. Remnant 2 provided the most clarity, as during freezes it would last longer and prevent me from moving the mouse at all (which led me to think it was a disconnection). It also produced an unusual triple beep sound through my headphones. Remnant 2 is the only game where I’ve ever encountered that beep.

I’ve attempted several fixes, including disabling power-saving settings in Device Manager for all USB ports, which didn’t help. I’ve tested three different mice—two Logitech and one Razer—and even mixed wired and wireless models, none of which resolved the problem. I also tried disconnecting everything except essential devices, like my monitor, keyboard, and mouse, but the issue persisted. I haven’t downloaded any new software recently that could have triggered it.

My firmware is current. After testing various mice, I believe it doesn't match my particular device.

no idea what this could be besides something from windows can you try running those games from a diffrent windows installation to see if the issue still persists
edit i mean on a seprate partition or from an external ssd dont reinstall windows to check this!

Observe normal behavior and note any changes or freezes when the mouse stops responding. This process may take some time and attention. Additionally, check Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer for error codes, warnings, or events captured near the freezing moment. Focus on identifying which system resources are being utilized and how much impact they have.

I attempted to use Task Manager previously, just to check the preview window graphs for each component. Even though the GPU usage in the game was 0% (HWMonitor showed 99% usage), the GPU graph remained flat. Occasionally, when the mouse froze, the graph would spike briefly before returning to normal. This happened only a few times, and I can't reproduce it, so I'm unsure if it's a coincidence or significant.

I plan to conduct some tests today using Event Viewer and Reliability Monitor to see if any results appear.

I currently lack an external SSD, so you would need to prepare a separate partition for Windows installation.

Guys I figured it out. Reinstalled windows and it was working, and as I was downloading programs, I realized which one might be causing the problem. I installed it, tested, and the issue came back. Then I uninstalled it and the problem was gone. It was LittleBigMouse, a program I used to align my monitors properly. I won't be downloading that again.
