So with a PC I'm planning, I currently have it planned for the gigabyte z690 extreme, but I'd bet almost everyone here has heard about the controversy with them, first the PSU, then the faked overclocking record So my question is, is gigabyte still a good choice? Or should I wait for the ASUS z690 extreme

For those motherboards, the decision mainly depends on personal preference (such as BIOS settings) and the level of extra features you wish to include. These options are excessive for anything you can physically connect to the socket, and you might be spending too much for what you need. I recommend checking out this video—it could provide some clarity.

This video is essentially pointless right now, but it might be worth watching later if you're interested.

When considering those queries, especially if you're not using an ASUS BIOS setup, Gigabyte should be a suitable option

Do morals influence your purchasing choices? I question their product quality simply because they fabricate misleading information. They constantly spread questionable statements, making it hard to add anything new to the mix. If you believe this is sufficient to dismiss them, you might consider another brand since they don’t excel in any area.

I just noticed that review—Build indeed covers these aspects thoroughly, covering most of what you'd typically want to examine.

It seems unlikely that moral concerns played a major role in AMD's past decisions. I'm curious about whether the leadership might have struggled more than expected.

Another shared the video link above. Take a look, he explains what he observes about them, and simply viewing it can give you insight into what you're curious about and assist in making a decision.

I get it, it seems like a simple question, but when you're investing $8k, it helps to get some informed answers.
