Motherboard Problem (Gigabyte X570 Gaming X rev. 1.1)
Howdy! Below is my build. This is a new PC build and windows is not installed on it yet. Currently I've flashed my bios and I am unable to get any type of display on my monitor to complete my setup. I removed my GPU to verify it wasn't a GPU issue, it wasn't still no display. I removed my M.2 drives to verify it wasn't a M.2 issue, it wasn't still no display. I removed and replaced the ram to verify it wasn't a ram issue, it wasn't still no display. I plugged in a speaker in hopes of hearing an error tone, still nothing. I verified my monitor was working and is switched over to HDMI, it was and still no display. I'm kind of at a loss of words right now, I'm hoping its something super simple that I just overlooked instead of it being a motherboard issue. Has anyone else had this issue with this board? I haven't switched to a different PCIe slot. I'm using an 8-pin dual PCIe (6+2) setup, but my PSU only supports 6-pin female connectors without the extra pin. I'm wondering if it might be underpowered... could that be the issue?
6+2 is an 8 pin on the GPU side. If you're using 2 cables from the PSU it's hard to believe that it's a low power issue. You could try different slots on the PSU side to see if maybe there's a bad connector.
