Working with an Asus AMD X470i board paired with a Ryzen 2600X, I noticed the motherboard lights up after switching the PSU, but nothing else functions. The fans don’t turn on and it doesn’t power up. Switching to a 2300X produced a long beep followed by two short beeps and the DRAM error lights appeared. The same happened with a Ryzen 3600. I’ve tested multiple RAM sticks—some work on other systems, others on this one, whether in pairs or separately. The 2600X seems to work on another board. Unless someone knows, I suspect the motherboard itself might be faulty. It’s curious why the 2300X and 3600 trigger powerup and beeping while the 2600X doesn’t. Could be an issue with the CPU or board compatibility.
It looks like the board isn’t functioning properly, as all previous tests in another system confirmed its reliability. You seem to have attempted to jump the front panel header because there’s no power button on the device.
He removed the board from the computer and placed it inside a cardboard box. I think you're correct, but I wonder why the original CPU doesn't work when I try to power it on, yet adding two other CPUs makes it start, but it keeps beeping and shows a DRAM error.
