CPU model is AMD Ryzen 7800x3d, motherboard is ASRock X670E. RAM setup uses Patriot Viper Venom DDR5 16GB (2x8GB). GPU is RX 6800, PSU is Corsair RMe 650w. System fails to power on despite correct configuration. Case fans didn’t spin, but they did after re-seating cables. I followed several steps: waited 20 minutes (manual says ~2 minutes for RAM), changed PSU cables carefully, avoided mixing brands, reinserted RAM, reset CMOS for 15 minutes, and removed the GPU. Lights flickered briefly but stayed unchanged after reboots. It seems the system was trying to boot into DDR5 mode but couldn’t proceed. I don’t have a spare AM5 board or DDR5-compatible parts, so I’m considering an RMA for the motherboard.

Is this version a fresh release or an updated iteration? I'm checking since the 7800X3D requires a BIOS upgrade for compatibility with X670, X670E, B650 and A620 boards—it's newer than many other systems.

Used the BIOS flashback option as described in the guide. The process worked smoothly, allowing an update without needing the CPU or RAM installed. It didn’t resolve the issue this time, but it confirmed the motherboard is at least partially operational. Also reset the CMOS, and the outcome was consistent.

Have you considered building the PC without the case, using only the motherboard, CPU, one RAM stick, and power supply?

I didn’t mean to be unclear, but I kept doing that once I replaced the RAM and realized it wouldn’t be a straightforward solution.
