Motherboard has no lights, RGB RAM is working
I built my own desktop (7800x3d, Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite Ax Ice, 2x 32GB Corsair Vengeance 6400 Mt/s 32CL, PNY 4070 Super, Samsung 990 Pro).
Recently it functioned properly, but I faced ongoing issues: xmp activation caused instability and my keyboard stopped working (Razer Turret).
After installing a Razer Chroma RGB hub, the machine still wouldn’t power on. No diagnostic lights appeared, except for the RGB RAM.
I disassembled the system to examine the motherboard, CPU, and RAM. After reassembly, the problem reappeared immediately.
I plan to troubleshoot further with testing, but I’m still confused and seeking external advice.
ANSWERED: Sorta?
Still unsure about xmp, but I managed to turn the PC on! It just needed the old Razer Chroma RGB controller disconnected from the PSU. That connection was the main issue. I'm really puzzled as to what happened, but it's no longer a big problem now.
XMP is designed for Intel and features distinct timing settings. It could function with AMD or not.
You can verify the exact RAM kit number by opening the command prompt and running the command to retrieve the device locator.
This RAM is designed for Intel systems, yet it should still function on AMD boards.
Here is the QVL information for the motherboard:

It seems your kit isn’t marked as compatible, which might be the cause of issues.
As per the QVL, this is the sole Corsair 64 GB kit that operates at 6400 MT/s CL32:

Could you consider returning and replacing the RAM? Since they’re quite expensive, you might not want to buy two sets.
However, since you paid well for this kit and it’s not delivering 4800 MT/s, it doesn’t seem ideal.
At the same time, you were expecting better performance for 32 GB or more, as higher speeds usually require larger files.
The motherboard supports up to 8000 MT/s, so a faster 2x16 GB kit could be an option.
Your choice is up to you, but if you really want top speed, this Trident Z5 RGB is a solid pick:

It’s also quite expensive.
You might also look at a 6400 MT/s CL32/30/28 kit, which would cost about half of what you spent on the Vengeance model.
Another more affordable option:

It appears on the QVL as a more premium sibling, so it’s confirmed compatible.
This would be a suitable choice for the coming years, though 64 GB kits may not be practical unless you truly need them.
Thank you for your detailed message. I'm not able to swap out the RAM sticks since they were a gift. I probably wouldn't have chosen any other option, but I'd trade them for a set of G.SKILL Flare X5 Series 2x16 GB 6000 MT/s CL 30 sticks (F5-6000J3038F16GX2-FX5) that I believe would fit. These are my wife's and we were thinking about getting her another pair. She doesn't usually break 32GB, but together we're more likely to do so. We both play Anno 1800, and she tends to enjoy "pretty" mods. She also has an issue with closing Chrome tabs.
Mods can consume significant RAM and VRAM, isn't it?
The current issue with RAM is more about the outdated "any two out of three" situation—speed, capacity, or cost.
😀
For gaming, low latency is important, but it mainly matters for high FPS competitive shooters, not for Anno.
A slower 64Gb setup wouldn't greatly impact performance (it's still DDR5) and would be affordable, likely under $200, around $170-180.
AMD CPUs prefer faster RAM, but even a slight slowdown might not be noticeable if you're not playing competitive games.
Try the RAM configurator on G.Skill's site—it offers more options than many motherboard QVLs.
