You're assembling this build from off-the-shelf components. Your setup includes an older power supply that seemed to work briefly before failing. You've tried replacing it and experimenting with different methods, but haven't succeeded. The advice you found online suggests a BIOS reset as a possible fix, though most boards have a dedicated reset button. Your question is whether this approach would work for your specific model.
It's a pretty old setup, likely facing issues like failing capacitors. The power supply seems to be original. If it makes any sound, there might be a problem.
I purchased a fresh unit and it's genuine. I'm trying to figure out how to reset the BIOS without using the physical button.
Purchased from someone whose dreams were shattered by parenthood, it’s still in perfect condition—never used. I opened the package myself. The PSU model is this year’s version. I’m just checking if there’s a chance to fix it or if I should discard it before throwing it away.
It's a completely new version I wasn't anticipating. The box was brand new and unused, likely from the 6th generation. Extremely rare—maybe only a few exist worldwide. In theory, it should run on Windows 10, and also on various Linux and BSD systems. I'm curious about the power supply; is it vintage or just something I found? El I7-6700k funciona bien, el Mobo es nuevo. También tengo un i5-5600 que usaba en una HP Pro Desk 600 G2, con una fuente de alimentación de 500W SFF. He adjuntado una foto. Es de México y esta marca tiene buena reputación. Ya verifiqué la potencia con el adaptador y el multímetro. Noté que dice SATA pero el Mobo indica ATA. ¿Importa?
