I am looking for a corded optical mouse with a cord around 5 feet long, like Belkin, suitable for basic actions such as left/right click and scroll wheel. I’ve tried cheaper Logitech models, some generic Chinese products, and even a few more expensive ones in the past. The device needs to endure a lot of clicking in its typical use. Are there any options under $30-40 that can last about a year?

If you possess soldering abilities, perhaps you might consider swapping out the switches on your previously used mice. Where would you like to buy them?

Yeah, my soldering abilities could use some work.
Amazon, MicroCenter, etc.

I purchased a Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed a few years ago and it's still working well. It supports wireless connectivity via RF or BT, whatever you prefer. I haven't encountered any issues so far. New models cost around $55, while refurbished ones are about $40.

This is my first mouse that isn't a budget Logitech $20 combo set. I won't return to cheaper options. I'm not planning to spend over $100 on a mouse, but I'll consider the next version if this one doesn't work out.
