Maybe some might think I'm odd, but I really like playing multiplayer on PS4 when it was still available. Games like Battlefield 4, PvZ Garden warfare, and Last of US HD worked well at around 60fps. I enjoyed these on the couch, watching TV. I still play Battlefield 4 on my PC now since I don’t have a PS4, but it doesn’t feel as good. I’m not a big fan of custom servers with chaotic groups, hackers, or weird rules. I know consoles can get hacked, but it’s less common on PS4 and PS4 hasn’t been targeted much. I own a solid gaming setup with an i7 and 970, and I love playing singleplayer on older titles in 1440p or 4K. The smooth 60fps and controller feel great, especially when lounging on the couch. I’m not a hardcore multiplayer gamer, but I do enjoy playing occasionally—preferably on the sofa with TV. Still, I’m thinking about getting a PS4 when prices drop or a slim version comes out for exclusives and multiplayer. For now, I’m leaning toward playing GTA V and Witcher 3 on my PC. There are so many old games I haven’t played in ages, and I’m willing to wait a year or two. Are you any of these feelings too?
I see your point, but I believe you're right about needing accuracy on PC and comfort with SP games on console.
Sure, you can connect a controller to your PC and link it to the TV to experience console-style gameplay, so I don’t think you’re facing any issues there.
Yeah but on console i don't have to mess around with graphics settings i can just sit down and go. Also they haven't released a way to use the xbox one controller wirelessly on PC yet.
Yeah I'll go play on a TV with like 50 ms of input lag. That will surely be great.
I still enjoy playing some games with a 360 controller and my TV, while running the games on my PC. Just because you play PC doesn’t mean you’re limited to a desk setup with keyboard and mouse. I connect my PC to the TV so I can turn it on, grab my controller, and enjoy big screen gaming—perfect for titles like GTA or Devil May Cry. For more immersive experiences, I switch to my chair, plug in my headset, and use keyboard and mouse to play games like Wasteland 2 or Battlefield.
I do the same, watch my PC games on TV using a controller but I still like multiplayer on consoles for some reason. I don’t want to waste time trying to play PC multiplayer with a controller because I’d get hurt by people using kb/m. I think I asked the wrong question since no one seems to have a PS4 here.
