I recently purchased 32GB of RAM and replaced my old 16GB unit. Could I reinstall the 16GB kit? It seems likely since it's an XPG model and you now have Corsair Vengeance RAM sticks with different timings. If they function together, mixing different sizes is fine. Also, I have a Dual Channel MMO case.

What else is in place? It should function in theory, but performing it could lead to instability if your memory controller or motherboard can't manage it well. I wouldn't proceed unless you truly require the additional space.

Make sure you clear the cmos before you try There is a 50/50 shot of it working for you.

Intel supports quad sticks well, though DDR5 models have issues. AMD offers a balanced choice.

The duel channel MBO will trigger conflict between devices, whereas a dual channel setup keeps them coordinated. Still, it's acceptable to use an atypical RAM capacity. However, varying clock speeds means performance will match the lowest common latency. Unless you require over 32 GB, consider selling the existing unit.

Here are the details rephrased:

The components include an I7 12700 processor, an ASUS Prime B660M-A AC-D4 3060 with 12GB and 32GB RAM, a Corsair Vengeance 3600MH 650W PSU, a Corsair PSU Peerless Assassin 120 cooler, and a 1TB NVMe drive. I don’t think extra RAM is necessary, so selling might be the best option as suggested.
