I recently purchased a new GPU (3080) with a 830-watt power supply and a 4K 144Hz monitor. The monitor occasionally disconnects unexpectedly, especially during games and at ideal settings. It doesn’t seem to be caused by the power supply tripping on the GPU, as that would occur more during high usage but doesn’t increase disconnection frequency. I’ve used various cables and the issue persists. Anyone have suggestions or should it be the GPU port or the monitor?

Consider testing on integrated graphics if available. Otherwise, connect the monitor elsewhere and run tests—it may point to a GPU or power supply problem, though the power supply is more likely. The PCI slot could also be dirty, but that’s less common.

I discovered the issue, as my power bar couldn't manage both monitors and the PC connected to it.
