About a quarter of the time, my PC starts up normally and displays a signal on the screen (Gigabyte M32UC). The remaining roughly three-quarters, the monitor fails to detect a signal and I have to repeatedly power off and turn it back on, even after removing the power supply from the outlet and plugging it back in several times.

The DisplayPort cable is connected to the GPU, while the HDMI cable connects to the motherboard. Both are linked to the monitor. When issues arise, the DisplayPort input shows "No Signal". Oddly enough, the HDMI input never indicates a lack of signal but consistently shows a black screen. I turned off integrated graphics, wondering if that affects the HDMI output.

There are no EZ Debug LEDs or other indicators on the motherboard after the system powers up. I’m using the monitor’s original DisplayPort cable. It seems the locking mechanisms on either end of the cables are damaged. I’m exerting all my effort to press buttons and detach the cables, but they won’t move.

This inconsistency is perplexing because sometimes a stable signal appears, while other times there’s nothing at all.

Thanks for your assistance!

They are connected to the same PC and monitor? That makes sense.
When integrated graphics are turned off, the motherboard video outputs stop functioning.
It’s likely a faulty cable—replace it.

that's what I intended to convey, either that or a poor GPU.

Thank you for your message. I'm still learning how to handle this situation. There are mixed advice about turning off integrated graphics, so I'm not sure what to do. If you can't remove the DisplayPort cables without pressing buttons, it might help to use needle nose pliers to try detaching them carefully. Be careful not to harm either the GPU or monitor ports.

Turn off iGPU. You'll have more system RAM available. Unless you need it for connecting more monitors. Can you display an image? (Upload to imgur.com and share the link)

The two images showing the DisplayPort cable connected to the GPU are provided.

There are no visible signs of damage. Removal should be straightforward. Press the button on the connector, slightly move it, and it should come off. If that doesn't work, connect an HDMI cable to the graphics card.

Yeah, it must be an internal defect. The button is not moving at all even if I press it insanely hard.
I could use HDMI, but I'll need to remove the DisplayPort cable eventually (moving to new apartment soon, etc.).

I faced the same issue, so initially I verified that my DP cable, GPU, and monitor all function correctly by connecting them to another PC if possible. This helped confirm that none of the hardware was faulty. Next, we examined the firmware for further troubleshooting.
