Monitor displays blackness during gameplay with audio functionality retained.
I am experiencing an issue with my PC. During gameplay, my monitor turns black and displays “no signal,” while audio continues to function. This problem occurred during PUBG (after approximately 2-3 hours) and Fortnite (approximately 30 minutes after launch). League of Legends runs without issues, having performed four to five consecutive games without a black screen. My specifications are: Ryzen 5 2600 (stock cooler), 2x8 DDR4 RAM, ASRock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming K4 motherboard, GTX 970 Palit Jetstream GPU, two case fans, two SSDs (60GB and 120GB), one HDD (500GB), 520w Seasonic M12ii Evo PSU, Samsung SyncMaster P2250 monitor. I downloaded MSI Afterburner but have not yet monitored the GPU’s temperatures while gaming; this will be done later today. Any suggestions? Note: I recently acquired my GTX 970 two days ago from a trusted source and previously had no issues with my GTX 960.
Inspect the power cables for the 970 and verify the connection to the monitor. Utilize DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and reinstall the newest NVIDIA-provided driver from nvidia.com.
Use DDU to uninstall and reinstall the latest NVIDIA driver from nvidia.com. 50°C is not a high temperature.
GPU clock is 1152 MHz (base) and 1304 MHz (boost), achieving 1366 MHz. Is this a potential problem?
