What I need to fix***
So my HPLV2011 Monitor isn't adjusting the resolution I need properly. It always shows 1600x900, and if I try something like 800x600, the screen looks like a small rectangle with black areas or the usual black stripes on 1440x900. I use an adapter to connect my laptop (Win732bit) via HDMI to this VGA monitor. I think it might be a driver problem, but if it's just the adapter, I'm really frustrated. I'll get back to you quickly with answers. ->>> My goal is for the screen to fill the entire display without empty or black spaces. Edited March 19, 2023 by ImRenomo Added a picture of the issue

The display uses 1600x900 as its standard size. Are you asking about maintaining that exact size, or would you prefer a smaller resolution with scaling to fill the entire screen? Your request isn’t clear.
I think the issue is that it isn't in full screen mode yet; we still need to confirm. Could you check and share a screenshot?
It seems the display doesn’t adjust to the entire screen size—it just changes the resolution. The first image is 1600x900 and the second is 800x600. I didn’t clarify that earlier.
You have your issue ready, it’s designed for 800x600, which makes it quite limited. You’re aiming for 1600x900—maybe you should try using the dropdown option for 800x600. If your only choice is up to 1024x768, it’s worth checking the adapter datasheet to see if it supports the resolution you need.
