You can use free tools like HWMonitor or Core Temp to monitor speeds and thermal throttling on your Mac. These programs provide real-time data and help you analyze performance.

Everyone else’s opinions seem flawed and terrible, THIS IS THE BEST! Use Mac’s fan control—it’s the only one I know that works well and lets you adjust RPM. Something cool is that running Bootcamp on your Mac lets you use Windows’ fan control to manage RPM from there.

smcFanControl is the tool I rely on for tracking CPU temperature and fan speed; it appears in the menu bar and provides real-time data, plus lets you configure cooling settings.
