On Dec 28th 2019 I got an email stating my Minecraft account had been migrated to a Mojang account. I didn’t ask for this change and hadn’t logged into my account in a while. When I visited the website and tried to log in, both platforms refused access. Attempting to reset my password also failed. I also tried moving my account, but that didn’t work either.

From then on, I suspect my account may have been stolen and needs recovery.

On Jan 1 I reached out to the "Minecraft Help" support via Zendesk, and they confirmed receipt of my ticket. Since then I haven’t received any further communication. I also contacted them through Twitter and their Jira system, but only got generic responses about delays and ticket processing. Someone else on Twitter mentioned waiting since Nov 24th.

I also tried contacting Microsoft phone support directly, but they couldn’t assist either.

So why am I sharing this?
1. Are there others in this long queue who need help? What’s the typical wait time?
2. Do you know any method to get them to address my request?
3. Is this an unreasonable delay for a company worth billions? I was patient at first, but now it feels like a long wait.
4. Would this tech news story be suitable for quick reporting?

The *exact* same thing has happened to me. Account got "migrated" and since that point, I've been unable to get into my account. Only difference is, I've been waiting since March of last year. No response from them, no help, nothing.
Since Microsoft bought them out they've been less than useless.

This might be too late, but for anyone checking this thread:
Their assistance could take several months to arrive. If you receive an automated reply, make sure to read it carefully and adhere to the provided steps. You may need to respond to that automated message saying it didn’t assist you, so you get a human reply.

Waiting literally years now for a response that someone used the gift code I bought before I gave it away to a friend. Even a "we can't do anything" would be fine but no...
