I understand the game isn't supported, but since I switched to SLI recently (and have my reasons, we won't talk about them), this game has been very unstable. It drops from 130 fps to around 20 fps in short bursts of about five seconds. I'm using an ASUS Sli HB bridge that came with my motherboard—basically a PCB with ports. The SLI configuration has been behaving oddly, and I'm wondering if the bridge might be the issue. I have two 1080tis, an 8700k, and a 1000w PSU.

It might be a faulty bridge or an incorrect SLI configuration in settings or BIOS. Certain games that don't support SLI must be disabled or restricted to using a single GPU during play.

Adjusted to use a single GPU in the NVIDIA control panel, skipped the dice. Just installed the drivers, planning to test next.

Attempt that again, if it doesn't resolve, consider turning off multi-GPU in the BIOS to check if that's the problem.

Are they operating in a water loop or on air? If it's air cooled, remove the bottom card from the system and check for stutters. You should evaluate SLI performance in games/benchmarks that utilize it. Try 3D Mark with both cards running in SLI to confirm if issues persist.

It didn't work. Disabling sli in the Nvidia control panel helped, but launching Discord caused a crash due to driver irql not less or equal. This happened after a new driver installation.
Water loop. I wish I could remove the card easily.
In general, there seems to be a bigger problem. I have two 1080tis—one is an ASUS reference and the other an EVGA SC—placed in the top and bottom slots respectively. I also have two NVMe drives installed. My motherboard is an ASUS ROG Strix Z390-E.
