I've had enough of this game. It runs smoothly on my Razer Blade but causes issues on my desktop setup (custom built, 8700k, 1080ti, 16gb ram). Are others experiencing similar freezes that lock the whole system? This problem is occurring even after a fresh Windows installation.

Maybe they could be? It appears to be very affected by old versions.

Poor driving habits and excessive modifications are the leading causes.

Have you attempted to reinstall Windows? That seems to have resolved the issue for me.
It likely stems from a mix of Windows 10 and the game in question.
I only experience crashes on the first map now, with slight stutters on a 1950X + RX 5700, whereas it was unstable on an older Windows 10 version.

New windows installed, moderate overclocking applied, drivers updated. I plan to switch off the overclocking to check for improvement.

Updated with a fresh Windows install, using both the latest and older drivers from NVIDIA (always running DDU), reset and updated my BIOS to the newest version (only enabled XMP for full RAM speed, no overclocking), skipped installing MSI Afterburner, ensured all chipset drivers were current, kept Windows updated, but the game still won't run. I also re-downloaded the game multiple times, performed standard scans and repairs, yet it remains unresponsive.
