Choosing the B550 Tomahawk pays off later when you consider the extra cost. If you're in a hurry, I can suggest the B450 Tomahawk Max since I've used it without problems. It works well even with non-QVL RAM and a 3700X.

The Pro4 has a higher chance of having a working BIOS. MSI spent about two years developing decent BIOS updates for their AM4 boards. This outcome often happens when only one person handles the firmware team.
