Hey there, I’m curious about getting a used Surface Pro 4 from a colleague and wondering if it’s possible to add touchscreen or gesture features for older games like Neverwinter Nights 2, Age of Empires 1/2, and Diablo 1/2. I tried searching with Google-Sensei but got a bit mixed up. Let me know if you need more help! Cheers, your friendly Nord Doc.

Yes and No. A touch interface can adapt Windows to treat gestures as mouse actions, but selecting groups without dragging remains challenging. Moving the map without dragging is equally problematic, and similar issues arise across different games. Some board-style titles like Ticket To Ride or Civilization 5 support touch, though the experience is limited. The Surface Pro is heavy and uncomfortable to hold, making it hard for extended use. A kick-stand might help temporarily, but it doesn’t fully solve the problem.

I previously used Metin 2 on my Windows 10 tablet, but I still required a mouse for right-clicking. Screen taps were converted into left clicks.
