Hello, your setup looks well configured. With the BIOS setting multicore and the turbo boost enabled, you're seeing up to 4.9GHz performance. Temperatures are generally within a safe range—around 77°C during normal gaming, which is acceptable. However, occasional spikes to 85-86°C are possible, especially in certain games. Since you noticed the CPU starts throttling around 80°C, it's wise to keep an eye on those readings. If they stay consistently under 85°C and don’t spike frequently, your system should perform well without overheating issues.

Modern processors can reach temperatures of 100 or more, sometimes up to 105°C before they slow down. This cooling mechanism prevents further heating, meaning you'd need to exceed that point even before damage occurs. The 80s are quite warm, but you're still far from the threshold where throttling happens. Keep in mind that Alder Lake also tends to get very hot, making it challenging to maintain cooler operation under stress.

You can keep your temps in with NP, but consider lowering the CPU voltage slightly if you want a bit cooler operation.

Some motherboards use a strong voltage for all-core boost, which generates more heat. You could consider lowering your CPU voltage to 1.25V with all cores running at 4.8GHz. This might help reduce temperatures, though I haven't tested it myself.
