Check if your motherboard supports the LGA 1151 socket for the G4400 CPU.
Also a funny pairing. $200 motherboard paired with a 2-thread Pentium.
Visit the official Asus website for detailed specifications and support resources.
The G4400 does not work with a Z390 motherboard, here is a full list of compatible CPU's with this ASUS Z390 motherboard: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Compon...pDesk_CPU/ LGA 1151 has four generations of products on it. Skylake and Kabylake, which are 6th and 7th generations CPU's and work with 100 and 200 series motherboard. Coffeelake, which is 8th and 9th generations CPU's and work with 300 series motherboards. These are all on LGA 1151, but I prefer to call 6th/7th generation LGA1151v1 and 8th/9th generation LGA1151v2. The Pentium G4400 is a Skylake part: https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/...0-ghz.html Of course a Pentium on a Z-platform is often not a good idea, but it depends on if you have the motherboard or CPU already.
