I was swapping the NIC on my laptop (DELL G3 15 3590). I accidentally touched the motherboard with a screw and it sparked. Now the laptop starts up and everything functions, except the keyboard which is having some delay between key presses or it won't register them. I also saw that the fans spin quite a bit. What might be causing this? Is there a way to fix it? (Sorry for my unclear English)

It seems you quickly connected the board. The part that caught attention probably relates to the keyboard. This suggests the motherboard might be faulty and would require replacement. I’d check the cost of a new or refurbished laptop compared to fixing the board.
