I recently purchased an ASROCK X470D4U MOBO. Once I installed all the necessary parts, it would start and frequently reboot during OS initialization. I’m fine booting through BIOS and my hardware appears correctly. The components I’m using are:
- Motherboard X470D4U (believed to be the problem)
- AMD Ryzen 7 5700G
- Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3600
- 600W PSU
- GeForce GT 1030

I attempted to boot from a USB drive but it failed. I swapped the RAM into a low-profile version, which also didn’t resolve the issue. After updating the BIOS and checking the BMC compatibility, I disabled the GPU after hearing a 5-beep warning. The system still wouldn’t boot to OS. I tried restoring the MOBO settings by removing the battery for 30 minutes, but the problem persisted. This is the list of errors shown when trying to install a new OS or boot normally.

You mentioned there are five beeps, which suggests a possible CPU problem. Refer to the ASRock support FAQ for details on beep codes. Review the link provided for more information. Consider taking out and reinserting the CPU to see if it resolves the issue. After re-seating, inspect the CPU pins for any damage or visible issues in the socket. If pins are missing, that could be the cause. For bent pins, you might need to realign them carefully—Linus has a video demonstrating this. Alternatively, consult a professional to adjust the pins properly. If possible, try using a different but compatible CPU to determine if the problem lies with the CPU or the motherboard.
