When the new motherboard arrived, it only worked once. I usually opened UEFI and then restarted to reinstall the OS. It beeped a few times and stuck on postcode AA with no screen. The hard drive spun up and the PC restarted after pressing random keys. After a week of attempts and trying to disable graphics, I’m considering flashing the MX25L6406EM2I-12G chip. Should I use a specific IC programmer or is there another issue? Unfortunately, returning the product isn’t an option.

Remove the small battery for 5 to 10 minutes, then reinstall it. It’s the round part near the postcode, roughly coin-sized.

Did you review the manual for the motherboard? I have details about this in my records (ASUS PRIME X370).

I managed to get it started by removing the CMOS battery for a bit and it booted into BIOS again. Then it kept having this issue. Could it be asking for the boot device? Also, the chipset is Q77.

instead of removing the CMOS battery, you can connect two pins with your motherboard—it’s not possible otherwise. it’s the RTC RAM jumper (2-pin CLRTC).

It also happened. Identical outcome (and oddly it activates the motherboard).
