Hey! You're considering a return for the RogStrix Z690 and wondering if switching to an Aorus Master makes sense. It’s a good idea to compare the differences first. Since you're new to building PCs, it might help to understand what each component offers. Let me know if you want a quick breakdown!
Strix E is a better motherboard than the Aorus Master (more connectivity options and similarly overkill VRM and feature set), but the thing you really should be asking is what do you need the motherboard to do? Quite frankly unless you need x8/x8 support there isn't much of a reason to get a board better than the Aorus Pro, or if you do need x8/x8 support the Aero D or Z690 Carbon. Unless you absolutely love the look of one of the Strix E or Aorus Master there isn't much of a reason to get them, especially since the Aero D is cheaper than the Aorus Master and offers more features (albeit with a slightly less powerful VRM, but it's still plenty overkill for anything you could fit in the socket).
