Hello everyone! I’m happy to share that after a year abroad without a PC, I finally bought the necessary components. Everything is functioning properly and I’ve had a week with my new machine. However, I’m still unsure whether I bought 3000 MHz RAM for a future upgrade to 2100 MHz. I encountered difficulties activating the XMP profile, and while searching online I found that my motherboard (Asrock B450 Pro-F) supports 2933 MHz but not 3000 MHz. I just updated my BIOS to the latest stable version and plan to try again, placing the RAM at 2933 MHz but adjusting the voltage to 1.349V. I’m worried about making mistakes as a beginner and want to avoid damaging my computer. In theory, the BIOS settings for 3000 MHz require a voltage of 1.349V, but if I change the voltage to 1.349V, should I keep the same BIOS configuration? I’m sorry if my English isn’t clear enough to explain my situation and what I’m trying to achieve. I really hope someone can assist me in safely increasing the frequency without harming my new PC. Your memory supports 2933mhz, but you can adjust it to 2999 if needed. Setting it to 2933 shouldn't require changing voltages, particularly if it uses an XMP profile. The system should apply the alternate configurations automatically, though this isn't always reliable.

Activate xmp, set frequency to 2933 and drive voltage to 1.35. Even if it appears red, it should let you post. If not, try 1.349.

Sure, I tried disconnecting the RAM, changing the slots, but the PC still won't turn on. At least it stayed in the previous setup.

Yes, you can access the BIOS settings. Regarding the RAM, it uses the 2 and 4 slots. If you can't reach the BIOS, remove the small battery on the motherboard for a moment and then reinsert it—it should reset everything to the default state.

I'm using slots 1 and 3. I managed to submit the PC. I'm worried about doing it again and discovering I can't power it on once more.

I love you no homo. It was simple as swapping the rams to the right slots. I believed I should use slots 1 and 3 since the mother had those two open while 2 and 4 were closed. Thanks a lot!
