MKLINK for Mailbird
MKLINK for Mailbird
Hello everyone, I hope you're enjoying your time.
I’m reaching out for help once more.
The operating system I’m using is Windows 10.
Recently, I cloned my C drive (SSD) to another SSD and installed it in a new ASUS Vivobook Laptop (S533EA).
I also cloned the D drive (data only) to a different 4TB SSD (OLDTOSH D).
Because the laptop only has one USB 3 port, I use a hub with three USB 3 ports to connect the new SSD and other devices.
My email client is Mailbird Pro, with the main program on C drive and data storage files on D drive.
When reading emails (three panels: left, top, bottom), the content doesn’t scroll up or down with the mouse or arrow keys, making it hard to view properly.
In the header area, scrolling works fine, but there are no issues with moving up or down in any other program or online.
I’ve tried restarting and turning off the laptop without success. I suspect a hard link to the D drive might be necessary.
I attempted to use MKLINK in the Command Prompt as an administrator:
C:\WINDOWS\system32>mklink /H "C:\Users\MY Name\AppData\Local\Mailbird" "OLDTOSH D:\Mailbird"
The file, directory name, or volume label format was incorrect.
I’m struggling to identify the exact problem and would appreciate any guidance on resolving it.
Additionally, I’d like to reinstall Mailbird as well.
Thank you in advance for your help.
This was from another system, so please return it to its original state with the original OS. Install your apps. Done.
