There’s nothing inherently wrong with this approach, particularly on an Intel setup. I recall using four different RAM sticks in my earlier system. If you’re running a Ryzen processor—especially the Zen 1 generation—I’d need to proceed with caution. I still have lingering anxiety from past experiences trying to get RAM to function correctly when Zen was introduced.
