Mistake made by changing my cooler setup. Need help figuring out what went wrong.
Hello everyone Here are the details: I have a B450 tomahawk max paired with a Ryzen 3600 PSU, powered by a 700W Bequiet system. I’m looking at an upgrade for my CPU cooler. After removing the stock Wraith, I found some resistance and carefully pulled it off. Once detached, the CPU was still stuck on the cooler. I noticed a bent pin and corrected it. After reinserting the CPU, everything seemed normal until the CPU fan lit up steadily red on the motherboard. No display appeared. When I tried booting without a CPU, the red indicator stayed on. I also attempted to breadboard the system and flash the BIOS, but it didn’t help. Now I’m unsure if the issue lies with my motherboard or the CPU itself. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
It seems you might have harmed the motherboard, likely by damaging the socket. Yeah, you messed up again, idk.
Thank you for the feedback. I believe it's a good idea to proceed with the RMA, as it remains within warranty. You should likely be accepted for return.
