Missing Ryzen power plan details
Hello, I'm trying to resolve an issue with my new system. I have an ASUS ROG Crosshair VII motherboard (x470) running a Ryzen 3900X CPU, paired with TridentZ Neo 3600 RAM. The BIOS is version 2901, and I'm using Windows 10 1909 along with the latest AMD chipset drivers (1.11.22.0454). Currently, the Ryzen balanced power plan isn't visible, and I've set the voltage offset to -0.1v to prevent overheating. However, I've read that leaving voltages at default and using the Ryzen power plan for 3000-series CPUs would be better. Could you help me install it correctly? Thanks!
You can obtain the chipset driver from AMD and install the Ryzen power plan. However, I haven't used it on my 2700x personally.
