I concur with eigenvector. I would switch to 7A37v1O6 before proceeding further. Also, wait until the PC displays the splash screen during a BIOS flash. Do not cut power before the update completes.

I've updated the bios, and the compatibility issue is resolved. Now other RAM sticks are functioning properly. However, the mismatch capacity problem still exists. I'll check the new BIOS settings and try using the default configuration to fix it.

Updated the bios for better compatibility; however, the Missmatch capacity remains an issue and I'll check it in the bios settings.

Consider this suggestion, identical issue but nearly matching board.

I noticed this before too. No resolution mentioned.

Hey. I've updated the bios, but the mismatch capacity problem remains. It works with the replacement Ram my friend bought, even though only half of it is functional. He sees it as a silver lining and thinks it's good enough. Thanks for your help—I'll probably mark this thread as Solved.

I'll attempt to persuade my friend to try this. He's already taken The PC. I'm hoping it'll help. But the guy is comfortable with it, so there might be a chance for a follow-up.
