They suggest setting it to zero, which I currently do. Cutting down on heat and electricity costs is always beneficial in today’s world. Some argue core parking isn’t worth much, suggesting a 5% setting. Others claim the difference between 0 and 34% isn’t significant. What should you choose? Is there a simple answer? For my setup—a high-end ASUS X16 with a 6900HS that gets hot during idle—what’s practical?
Adjust the setting to zero and run it for a full week. If anything seems off, change it to five and test again for another week. Observe any changes. Core parking in practice isn't ideal since it needs time to reset, which can cause minor delays in some apps. However, a core usually recovers quickly—under 1ms—so personal experience may vary with your specific applications.
