Visiting a cousin's place with an A8-7600 and no GPU, I'm planning to bring a Steam link. Looking for games under 20 that work well on such a setup—any recommendations?
Factoring in games like Factorio, Stardew Valley, Payday 2, Civ V, Terraria, Don't Starve brings diverse mechanics and themes to the table.
Are they updating the version or referring to the latest releases?
Half Life 2 is currently discounted by about 90%, offering great value. Half-Life 1 (original or Source) remains affordable too. Portal and Portal 2 should run well on Valve platforms. You can bundle HL2, HL2:EP1, HL2:EP2, Portal, TF2 for a few extra cents compared to buying them separately—still under 4 euros. For HL1 Source you only need one euro, and Portal 2 costs two euros. There’s a lot of quality games available, especially on integrated graphics. Cave Story and Trine Thomas fit the top-down FPS style. Bioshock is a standalone alien shooter series. Borderlands Command & Conquer, Red Alert 3, and Mass Effect (possibly free on GOG) are worth considering. Penumbra series (developed by the same team as Amnesia: The Dark Descent) includes Sniper Elite 1. Some older Tomb Raider titles are still playable, though they can be a bit dated. Torchlight, Vampire Masquerade (may need patches), and Witcher 3 are also on the list.
