I’ve checked some resources and haven’t found a fix for this issue. Currently, when I play games, I’m getting around 40fps instead of the usual 160 after resetting my PC. It seems I’m not using much CPU power but consuming most of the GPU’s capacity. When I run quickCPU, only one of my eight cores appears active, even though they’re all enabled. My CPU is fairly old, so I’m considering an upgrade. Shouldn’t this increase usage significantly since it should be limiting performance? Here are the specs: i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40 GHz, GTX 1080, 8 GB RAM, 16 GB DDR4. Let me know if you need more details.
