It relies on the game's processing demands. The CPU handles the logic and feeds data to the GPU. Generally, you should let the GPU be the bottleneck. When the GPU is near full capacity, the CPU doesn't need to work harder. If your CPU is nearly at maximum while the GPU is under 90%, consider increasing resolution or details to give the GPU more tasks, or upgrade your CPU for better performance. Also note that overall CPU usage can be deceptive—eight cores with one at 100% still shows only 12.5% load, meaning the CPU remains the limiting factor.
