Minimal GPU Consumption Universe
Minimal GPU Consumption Universe
Needed to change that setting since it automatically uses the integrated option.
This project is still in development and isn't fully optimized yet. The "universe" may experience frame drops, performance slowdowns, and FPS issues during the build phase. Once polished, additional features will be added.
It's hard to fix, but it's always improving. Sometimes the game feels stuck and slow, but after a while it runs much better. It might depend on how busy the servers are or where you're playing.
Additional information comes from users discussing the same issue. The current performance is affected by server optimization problems. Before many people downloaded it, I experienced stable 60-40 fps, which dropped to half during heavier loads. Expect improvements over time, but keep in mind this is still early-stage development.
Yeah it's fairly much the same for everyone. Currently it gets unplayable in fps combat for me personally - I drop to ~10 fps when multiple people are shooting. My usual res (7680x1440) is completely unplayable 100% in the PU, so I go with 2560x1440, and even that averages maybe 25fps tops. These are taken in 1080p, removed my custom user.cfg, removed reshade/sfx, and deleted my user folder for a baseline comparison: Arena Commander: Port Olisar: Compare the cpu/gpu usages. On the cpu front, in AC there's a spread, 1 core is 90%+, one is 70%+, one is 60%+, others bounce around between 20-40%. In the PU, core 3 is 95-100%, all others bounce between 0-20% tops. GPU usage in AC is 80 - 95%, in the PU I've seen them drop as low as 5%, peaking about 30% or so. Not great for performance, and no amount of overclocking is gonna help on that front (at this point I'm running @ 5.1GHz up from 4.8 on the cpu, gpu clocks are still roughly the same)
I own an older dual-core i5 with an HD7770 chipset. The performance stays between 4 and 13 FPS at most resolutions under 1080p. I still find it works well, though it’s quite challenging to play smoothly. While it’s mostly my setup, I’d like to see better stability soon.
Hey all, I know this is a work in progress and everything, I was just making sure it wasn't specific to me.
