Consensus reached even when expecting higher FPS can stem from hardware factors rather than settings or game quality. It’s not about a 2060 rendering 4K at 120fps with a Ryzen 5 2600; performance is limited by physical constraints compared to systems like the 3090 Ti. Consider adjusting expectations slightly. Disabling Windows GPU scheduling might help, as it’s unlikely to be the main issue.

I didn't enter bios settings or adjust the speed, but it occasionally runs at 3.8 GHz during games. I'll download a better benchmark now.

You're not concerned about high resolutions, just want smoother 1080p frames. The PSU seems to be a bit underpowered—recommended 500W but you're using 450W. Also, the crash during idle and rust issues on startup might indicate a hardware or software problem.

The GPU scaling issue might be linked to the Windows game mode settings

It seems like you're questioning whether the performance might have been artificially boosted or if there were any underlying problems. It's generally safer to stick with default settings in both BIOS and Windows, especially if you're uncertain about potential issues—except for XMP profiles. FireStrike can compare against similar hardware, making it a challenging but valuable test. From what you mentioned, it sounds like the results are quite normal, possibly even better than expected. Crashing could be a different matter altogether.

Sure, I understand. It seems like you're wondering if your card might improve performance at 1080p resolution. You mentioned it's hard to explain, so just thinking it could help with smoother operation without causing stress is a good approach.

Additionally, while downloading something, my PC became noticeably noisier than before. The GPU fans were already running at maximum speed, and the system fans weren’t much louder either. It’s possible the power supply unit is also contributing to the increased noise, even though I only have a 450W unit. I’ve been wondering about this all along.

Additionally, Rust is functioning smoothly at 60-70% capacity with 1080p resolution, which seems unusual unless my computer is making a lot of noise.

The screen turned off completely and displayed some blue residue, likely due to the power supply issue.

It might be the issue that your power supply isn't providing sufficient power to the GPU, leading to throttling. Consider switching to a different power supply if available.
