Hey there. Over the past thirty years I’ve been assembling my own computers, starting with the old 386sx/Voodoo models. My last build was in 2018. Right now I operate a semi-truck and use a laptop, but these new mini-computers catch my attention.

My current rig is an Asus laptop I purchased last year. It performs well enough for everything—plays Wow (mostly solo), Factorio, Satisfactory, etc., without any problems. I don’t play FPS games like COD, though I might try 7 days to Die one day.

I’ve been checking out the newer mini-computers and want to avoid overspending. The models over 1k are fine, but I’m targeting the 300-500 range. Sometimes my semi-truck runs alone, so I don’t want a 2k unit to attract anyone. I also have a 32" 4K monitor for my PS5, mainly for watching movies and playing RDR1/2/GTA5.

I’m considering something like this:
|CPU Mode| AMD Ryzen 7
|CPU Speed| 4.75 GHz
|Graphics Card |Integrated|
|Graphics Coprocessor| AMD Radeon 680M
|Memory Storage Capacity| 3600 MB
|Memory Slots Available| 3

How would it perform during continuous Factorio sessions for six hours? Would I need additional cooling (like adding fans)? It’s a bit of a hassle setting it up each time—just place it on the pad, plug it in, start it. I’d prefer something that’s ready to go, with wireless connectivity and a mouse, so I can jump right in.
