I’m used to spending a lot of time with compute tasks—running Folding, BOIC, and my own physics simulations almost nonstop. This year I’m getting a 3900x for Christmas, so I need a MOBO that fits my setup: 3x PCIe 16x (preferably fast GPUs, at least 8x), x570 chipset with future-proof PCIe 4.0 support for handling large data transfers, solid VRM for stable OC without extreme heat, decent CPU/GPUs on water but with some airflow from the case fans. USB-C is nice but not essential, audio options don’t matter, and I won’t need WiFi. The max budget is around 300€. My research points to the Gigabyte x570 Aorus Pro. Is this a solid choice or would you recommend something else? Thanks!
I don't need this. Best performance comes around 8x, though 4x works for some tasks. With the upcoming PCIe 4.0 GPUs, it shouldn't cause issues.
for heavy usage you'd need to invest a bit more in the master's heatsink, or you'll have to ensure whatever you run doesn't cause the VRM to exceed 85°C (it's okay for occasional use, but keeping it at that temperature all day isn't ideal). I understand the master might be out of your price range, but it's definitely worth considering for your specific needs.

The board feels reliable without the flashy extras. The Taichi gives you more ports than expected, making it a great pick for performance and affordability.
The Aorus Pro and Taichi VMR differ in design and performance. Running Taichi continuously at full capacity is feasible depending on your setup and power management.
