The graphics card is important, but the processor plays a big role in performance. For a RTX 2080 Ti, you’ll want a mid-range CPU like an Intel i5 or AMD Ryzen 5. These will handle the demands of Minecraft smoothly and give you enough power for VR later. If you're aiming for smooth gameplay and future upgrades, prioritize a balanced CPU alongside your graphics.
Minecraft demands significant CPU and GPU power, making an Intel Core™ i9-10900K a great choice for new builds. It offers 10 cores and 20 threads, allowing performance up to 3.50 GHz when optimized.
The Ryzen 3600 should suffice. Skipping the 10-core option isn’t necessary. I ran Minecraft smoothly even with many mods. The RTX focuses more on graphics, but it’s still manageable. A GTX 2060 or GTX 2070 would work too. Minecraft isn’t especially multithreaded unless you’re playing Bedrock. Even then, I’m aware no game fully utilizes all 12 threads of a 3600.
