Trying to understand why Minecraft lags at below 40 FPS with SEUS PGI 12 shaders. When disabled, performance jumps to around 110 FPS with and without Optifine. This consistency across different resource packs is puzzling. Here are my specs: an i7-8700K @3.70GHz, MSI 2080TI Gaming X Trio (standard settings), 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000MHz (2x16GB), two Samsung 970 Evo NVMe 500GB M.2 SSDs, Minecraft JVM.
Optifine settings: -Xmx16G -XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:+UseG1GC -XX:G1NewSizePercent=20 -XX:G1ReservePercent=20 -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=50 -XX:G1HeapRegionSize=32M
Minecraft version: 1.14.4
Shaders: SEUS PTGI Texture Pack (Stratum 128x & 1024x) – https://continuum.graphics/stratum-resourcepack/
Requirements link: https://continuum.graphics/stratumrp-sys...uirements/
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Settings adjusted for maximum performance. Resources boosted output noticeably. Consider optimizing further if needed.
Minecraft's performance depends heavily on the hardware—many players struggle with lower frame rates. Assuming you're on a system around 130 FPS, it might feel sluggish. Check if your display supports at least 144 Hz for smoother gameplay.
