I have recently encountered a persistent issue with Minecraft where GPU utilization is significantly reduced, typically ranging from 5% to 30%, despite previously achieving approximately 400 FPS without shaders. This has resulted in a drastic reduction to an average of 40 FPS. I have attempted troubleshooting steps including reinstalling my graphics driver (including older versions), completely reinstalling Minecraft and Java, and verifying the integrity of my system files. My hardware specifications are as follows: Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus Pro Mini-ITX B450; CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600x; CPU cooler: Alpenföhn Ben Nevis; Graphics Card: Gigabyte RTX 2060; RAM: 2 x 8GB G Skill 2400 CL15; PSU: Be Quiet! Pure Power 11 600W CM; Operating System: Windows 10 Pro.

Are other processes utilizing GPU resources in the background? Investigate this possibility. RTX cards can exhibit issues due to their newness, and driver problems may persist despite uninstalling and reinstalling. However, I could be incorrect; do not hold me responsible. Edited: A Minecraft issue is also possible; the 2060 might have compatibility challenges with Minecraft and its shaders.

My graphics card exhibits minimal utilization during Minecraft gameplay, which is anomalous. It functioned correctly prior to an apparent incident. I installed the latest graphics driver at that time; no resolution was achieved.

That is the problem I do not know.
I have determined that it has nothing to do with the Minecraft version or settings.
It is possible that the problem occurred after the driver update, but as I stated, I reverted it to when Minecraft was working.
