Hello. I aim to boost my FPS but need advice from others. My current average is about 120 in Minecraft. Based on research, I expect around 600. I’m playing vanilla single-player Java. My system was upgraded in December. Specs: ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero CPU, Intel Core i9-9900K, NZXT Kraken X62 GPU, RTX 2080 Ti, G.SKILL TridentZ RAM, Seasonic Focus power supply, 2560x1440 at 144Hz display. Any suggestions to improve performance?

I’ve seen higher FPS on my older machine that was cheaper by about $3,000. The exact number isn’t important right now.

I reviewed this site, but I’m unsure what performance level I should expect. One reason I shared this is because I think it should be significantly better. I’m seeing comparable FPS with Witcher 3 and ARK when graphics are fully enabled.

What are your current Minecraft configurations? Have you experimented with adjusting the render distance? Are you installing OptiFine? It should significantly boost your frame rate.

The game relies on CPU processing and doesn't benefit much from GPU power (except with shader modifications), often lagging at around 200-300 FPS. The reported stats are likely inaccurate. Have you checked if the maximum frame rate is configured? Are your Java updates current? Also, consider using OptiFine.

I can't take or post screenshots directly. However, you can share the link to your in-game settings or describe them here, and I’ll help you with any details you need.

I’m not using OptiFine right now, but I think it’s a good idea to install it anyway. Even without it, I expect better FPS. Java is up-to-date today. Here are the two images you mentioned.

I put optifine in, but it didn’t show any noticeable changes. The average FPS stayed consistent.

It's quite unusual. I understand this might seem silly, but sometimes restarting my PC boosts my frame rate. I'm open to testing it. If it doesn't help, I'm uncertain about the problem. Installing a PvP client like Badlion or LunarClient could potentially improve my FPS. I'd love to know if either of these increases it.
