Restarted Minecraft, removed the .minecraft folder, and it loaded the 1.16.5 forge version. Problem persists! Need urgent assistance!

When Minecraft runs solo, without any mods or forge, does it function properly? If yes, simply install Forge alone. If not, check your installation method and ensure you selected the correct directory. The issue likely lies with the mod you intended to add via Forge. To simplify, consider using Curse Forge or FTB launchers available on Overwolf. These options generally support a wide range of modpacks and let you tailor them to your preferences.

I reinstalled Minecraft with a clean Forge version and no mods, yet it keeps crashing. I don’t have any incompatible mods installed, but the issue persists. It seems the .jar file might be faulty. Forge 1.16.5 is still under development and may contain occasional bugs. I checked the versions file and found odd entries—some builds listed as 1.16.5 forge without a proper .jar. Perhaps Minecraft wasn’t installed correctly? If you need to fully remove it, just delete the .minecraft directory, but generally it works with OptiFine even without mods.

I can share a snapshot of the actual documents if that helps give you a clear view of the situation.

It failed too—probably related to my Minecraft game.

It seems the issue is with a broken 1.16.5 version of Forge. The 1.12.2 build works fine, which confirms the problem lies in the 1.16.5 client.

haven't tested version 1.16.5 yet, but 1.16.2 functioned well with a modpack. Give it a try; it should be updated soon.
